how to help california

I’ve always loved LA. There’s magic in those hills, trees and dreamers (the wonderful dreamers) who live and create there. With fires still actively burning (lack of rainfall, dry brush and high winds continue to vex California) whole communities are in need and are going to be for a while. Respectfully, eff the blame game. Is there something you can do? That’s the question. Is there one way you can give back to the people who have contributed to the films, television shows, art, food, tech, music and culture you have appreciated at one time or another over the years? There is. (There Always Is.) Links below. Please note many of these links are from @ykreborn (thank you for culling and your consistent advocacy, YK.) I’ll be updating regularly.

I’m sure you’ve heard some crazy ish On Top of the crazy ish happening but the majority of friends I’m in touch with have let me know that people are actually helping one another, that the good is outweighing the bad. I remain grateful to the LA Fire Department, the incarcerated firefighters, pilots, shelters, helpers and volunteers. I so appreciate those who are helping by others. Thank you.  What’s most important, what I always long for, is that we look out for one another. Please. That’s how My Mama raised me. I believe that’s ultimately how we all raise up. X
